Manly Cooper dies. The death of Manly R. Cooper, a former pottery worker and life long resident of Crooksville, occurred Thursday, after a long illness due to complications. Mr. Cooper is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cooper, and one brother, Milton Cooper, of Columbus, besides a host of other relatives and friends who will greatly mourn his loss.
Funeral services will be held at the M. E. Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the funeral to be in the charge of the Driggs undertaking firm. Interment will be made in the local cemetery.

Mary E. Cooper Dies Thursday. Mrs. Mary E. Cooper, one of Crooksville's oldest residents, died Thursday night at her home after an illness of three years. She was 91 years old.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Crooksville Methodist Church and of Starlight Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She leaves one son, Howard Adams of the home, one brother, Charles N. Harris of Aberdeen, SD, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 PM with Rev. Paul E. Ertel in charge. Burial will be made in the Crooksville cemetery by Cannon & Cannon.

She died on 18 Jul 1892 in Scioto County, Ohio, and was laid to rest in the Smith burying ground, back of Firman Smith's. Drusilla married Thomas WILLIAMSON on 12 Jul 1852 in Scioto County, Ohio.

Drusilla Willet Wilcoxon, the daughter of Caleb and Nancy Fisher Wilcoxon, was born at Lexington, KY on February 29, 1812. Some records have her name spelled Druzilla. In 1818 she moved with her parents and family to Scioto County, Ohio. Initially the family lived at Nauvoo, west of the town of Portsmouth. In later years she lived on Pond Creek some four or five miles northwest of Portsmouth.
On January 24, 1828, she married John Dent Smith, a native of Virginia who had settled in Scioto County in the earlier 1800’s. To them were born five children: William, John O., Oliver D., Eliza Caroline, and Frances Eleanor.
John Dent Smith died of cholera on July 15, 1849, at age 44. Drusilla later married Thomas Williamson, a successful farmer who accumulated good property in Scioto County. Thomas and Drusilla had no children. Thomas died September 5, 1874 at age 76.
Drusilla was considered in her community as a stawart Christian leader of pioneer stock who was a life long member of the Methodist Church. She was also known for her graciousness and keen intellect. Drusilla died July 18, 1892, at the age of 80 years, 7 months, and 11 days.
Peter SMITH 1 was born about 1747 in Prince William County, Virginia. He died about 1792 in Prince William, VA. He married Elizabeth UNKNOWN about 1772 in Virginia.
