Notes for Grace Morris:
For the 1910, 1920, and 1930 U.S. Census, Grace Morris Cooper declared that she was born in Pennsylvania, her father in England, and her mother in Ireland. Another source indicates Grace may have been born in New York state. Her father's name was Edward E. Morris. Her mother's name was Elizabeth (last name unknown), and she was born about 1840. At the time of 1920 Census, Grace's mother was living with her in Seattle, WA, along with a cousin, Edwin Robinson, age 32, from NY.
About 1915, Grace and William L. Cooper were divorced. In the 1920 Census and for many years in Seattle city directories, Grace listed herself as the widow of William. Only the 1930 Census shows her as divorced. William lived until 1951. Grace's last occupation was listed as clerk for the Washington State Game Department.
