Martha Ann COOPER [Parents] 1, 2 was born on 28 Oct 1827 in Clayton Twp, Perry County, Ohio. She married Nelson MILLER on 8 Apr 1845 in Perry County, Ohio. Martha Ann passed away on 1 Jul 1899 in Stark, Neosho County, KS. She was buried in Wirtonia Cemetery, Cherokee County, KS.

Died, Miller. --- Martha Ann Cooper, was born in Perry county, Ohio, October 28, 1827. Was married to N. A. Miller, April 8, 1845, and moved with her husband to Kansas in 1874. Died at Stark on July 1st, 1899. Was buried by the side of her husband at Crestline, Kansas. She was converted and joined the M. E. church when young and lived a faithful and Christian life. When death came she said she wanted to go to be at home with Jesus. She leaves two daughters, six grand children and seven great-grand children to mourn her loss. A large number were at the depot Saturday evening to receive the remains of Mrs. Martha A. Miller, who died at the home of her son-in-law, William Pike, at Stark, Kansas, July 1st. After services at the M. E. church Sunday morning she was laid by the side of her husband in Wirtonia cemetery. She was 72 years old and for many years lived here, coming from near Neutral. She was loved and respected by all.

Norvel F. RUE was born about 1846 in Illinois. He married Phebe Jane MILLER on 21 Sep 1869 in Joplin, Jasper, MO.
Phebe Jane MILLER [Parents] was born in Feb 1850 in Fairfield County, Ohio. She married Norvel F. RUE on 21 Sep 1869 in Joplin, Jasper, MO.
William W. PIKE was born in Nov 1865 in Nebraska. He married Eva Harriet MILLER on 14 Nov 1886 in Cherokee County, Kansas.
Eva Harriet MILLER [Parents] was born in Oct 1865 in Iowa. She married William W. PIKE on 14 Nov 1886 in Cherokee County, Kansas.
Joel COOPER [Parents] [scrapbook] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 was born on 19 Sep 1814 in Clayton Twp, Perry County, Ohio. He married Martha YOST on 3 Mar 1836 in Perry County, Ohio. Joel passed away on 12 Apr 1899 and was buried in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thorn Twp, Perry, Ohio.
On September 6, 1839, Joel Cooper was appointed guardian of the minor children of his father, Isaac W. Cooper, who died in 1836: the children were Martha, age 11, Isaac, 19, Israel, 14, and Rueben, 16. In March 1847, Joel was relieved of guardianship.

In Memoriam --- Joel Cooper was born September 19, 1814, and died April 12, 1899, aged 84 years, 6 months, and 23 days. He was a member of a family of six brothers and one sister, and was reared on a farm east of Somerset. In 1836 he was married to Martha Yost with whom afterwards he moved to Thorn township on the farm south of Thornville where he spent the greater part of his life. He was received into the Reformed church by Rev. Hoyman and for many years proved a most faithful and acceptable member. To him and his wife were born ten children, four sons and six daughters of whom two sons and two daughters are yet living, who with twenty grand children and twenty great-grand children, other relatives, neighbors and friends, sorrow because of his death, but rejoice in the hope of his blessed immortality. The last will of Joel Cooper, late of Thorn township, filed for probate. Elmer E. Cooper was named executor and gave bond in the sum forty thousand dollars, the largest estate filed for settlement for a number of years.
