Mr. Cooper was born July 3, 1920, in Thornville. He was a self-employed farmer and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Thornville.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie J. Dove Cooper, of the home; and two sisters, Doris Cooper Brungart of Coshocton and Mary Jean Roush of Cape Coral, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Lolo Orr Cooper, and one son, Terry Cooper, in December 1968.

Milton L. "Milt" Cole, age 81, of Chesterton died Thursday, June 1, 2000. He was born June 29, 1918, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Charles and Florence Brooke Cole who preceded him in death.
On October 4, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa, he married Guyeda Shields, who survives. He is also survived by a son in Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Doris O'Neill of Valparaiso; and a brother, Blaine Cole of Michigan City.
